James B. Sinclair manuscripts, 1915-1968.

Manuscripts of James B. Sinclair consist of drafts and copies of Sinclair's article "Eradication of Citrus Canker from Louisiana," photographs of agricultural workers spraying for canker, correspondence about the article's publication, handwritten notes on citrus canker, and several term papers and articles on citrus canker by students and other scientists. Also included are correspondence concerning a symposium on Rhizoctonia Solani held in Miami in 1965 and the text of several articles delivered by participants in the conference.

James B. Sinclair was professor of plant pathology at Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College in Baton Rouge, La. In 1968 he accepted a position in the Department of Plant Pathology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he taught until his retirement in 1996.
